We welcome all donations, large or small. As we provide assistance to approximately 160 athletes each year, all donations are vitally important to the work we carry out.
Many companies across Northern Ireland generously support the Trust with corporate donations. Other businesses may sponsor specific Trust activities, take ‘ownership’ of individual awards, focus on a particular sport, or sponsor an individual.

The Mary Peters Trust, Northern Ireland’s premier sporting charity, has celebrated its 40th anniversary by announcing a legacy campaign which will secure its future for the next 40 years and beyond.
Titled ‘Mary’s Race To A Million’, the campaign was officially launched by the Trust’s Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, at a gala dinner in Belfast City Hall on Saturday, 28th November 2015.  Sponsored by Bluefin Sport and hosted by the High Sheriff of Belfast, Alderman Gareth McKee, the black tie event was attended by almost 400 supporters, friends and athletes linked to the Mary Peters Trust.
Eilish Rutherford, Trust Chairman, explained:
“Over the last four decades the Mary Peters Trust has supported thousands of talented young sportsmen and women, both able bodied and disabled, from across Northern Ireland to help realise their sporting dreams.  We do this by selecting the best athletes, financially supporting them and providing access to a team of experts who help and support their pathway to success.
“Having reached this significant milestone we felt the time was right to make tangible financial plans to secure the future of the charity for many years to come.  With the help of our many supporters, schools, sports governing bodies, corporate Northern Ireland and sporting stars, the ‘Mary’s Race To A Million’ campaign aims to raise an additional one million pounds to enable the charity to continue helping our many talented young athletes towards sporting success.
“We were incredibly honoured that our Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, came to Belfast to launch the campaign and were very proud that she was able to meet many of the athletes the Trust has supported.”
Since its founding in 1975, the Mary Peters Trust has helped over 5000 sports people in Northern Ireland.  Alumni include Graeme McDowell, David Humphreys, Paddy Barnes, Michael Conlon, Kelly Gallagher, Michael McKillop, Janet Gray and Katie Kirk.
