Almost 100 staff and clients from business organisations across Northern Ireland got behind the 2026 Mary Peters Trust Corporate Games on Friday, 11th September.
Taking the top trophy and crowned overall winner of the 2026 Corporate Games was Liberty IT. They were closely followed by runners-up, Evelyn Partners with GE Vernova picking up the bronze medal position.
Held at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast, teams enjoyed a pre-Games warm-up before taking on a range of fun-packed events and challenges for all fitness levels.
“Events like these bring businesses and people together and that sense of community is something we’re proud to be part of. It’s also a fantastic cause as every team that takes part helps raise money for the next generation of sporting talent right here in Northern Ireland.”
This year organisers included several brand-new games curated by Connect Through Service to add a little extra fun to the friendly competitive nature of the Games.
Competitors ended their ‘Sports Day’ with a BBQ lunch and received goody bags sponsored by The Maxol Group for a second consecutive year. The event ended with a relaxed awards ceremony with Lady Mary Peters presenting medals to winners and runners-up.
This year’s event attracted competitors from a range of business and sporting organisations including Alchemy, Allstate, Evelyn Partners, Fujitsu, GE Vernova, Hughes Insurance, Liberty IT, Wilson Nesbitt.
Congratulating the winners, Lady Mary Peters said:
“We had a brilliant day as always and well done to our winners Liberty IT and to everyone who took part. It’s a fabulous team building experience for companies and their staff which also raises funds for the Mary Peters Trust to help us continue our work helping promising young athletes to reach their full potential.
“It was so rewarding to see such a fantastic turn-out at the track and I would like to thank everyone who took part and those who organised the games. It’s encouraging to see the importance businesses place on health and wellbeing in the workforce and how they want to contribute to the development of Northern Ireland’s sporting talent.
